A Lockout-Tagout device is now available to enable construction crews to effectively lockout a ‘A’ valve box at street level. This lockout device replaces the standard cast iron valve plug. The AquaLockout Safety plug is used to block access to buried water valves so that crews can isolate and lockout valves in a shutdown during maintenance and repair operations. This Lockout-Tagout system is easy to use by simply removing the existing valve plug, replacing it with the AquaLockout device, turing a dial into a lock position, installing a padlock, and screwing the protective road cover on securely.
